30. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Colorado Buffaloes

Thinking about Trey Parker and Matt Stone often conjures up thoughts about crude humor and groundbreaking work in adult animation. That, of course, is because the duo is the team behind creating the long-running hit South Park. Now past 20 seasons of the show featuring classic characters like Eric Cartman, Towlie, Mr. Hankie and many, many more, they are pioneers in the realm of television.

What many people don’t know about the team of Parker and Stone, however, is the fact that the television geniuses are also big football fans. Yes, they both enjoy the pro game as big fans of the Denver Broncos, but their college football allegiances also align with the state of Colorado. As a matter of fact, they root for the Buffaloes from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Both Parker and Stone attended the university, which is where their fandom began. While they may not be diligent followers that are at every game that the Buffaloes play, they have been involved in the past. Of course, they’ve also incorporated their most genius creation into their fandom as well, having rallied fans and players alike at times using characters from their hit television show.

Things, of course, have been up and down for fans of the Buffaloes like Parker and Stone, but mostly down as of late. Colorado has gone just 5-7 in each of the past two seasons after going 10-4 in the 2016 campaign. For the sake of Parker and Stone, though, let’s hope that changes moving forward.
