10. Adam Duritz, California Golden Bears

There are no doubt celebrity fans of teams that seem to hang on everything that happens with their favorite teams. However, we all know that there are different types of fans. There are fans that are knowledgeable and care deeply about their team, but then there are the fans that care so much that they digest literally anything and everything that they possibly can about their team. Adam Duritz is the latter type of fan.

The lead singer of the rock band Counting Crows, Duritz has been a massive star in the music world since the 1990s when the band really came to prominence. While they aren’t at the same level as they once were, the Counting Crows continue to put out great music and fill venues throughout the country year after year. However, Duritz can’t let that interfere with his California Golden Bears fandom.

The rock star is a bank of knowledge when it comes to Cal. He knows everything about the team, about recruiting, about the coaches and much more. Heck, Duritz is even a part-time sideline reporter for the Golden Bears, something no one else on this list can say.

Duritz is clearly a mega fan of the Golden Bears and that’s not something he’s shy about. He’s basically a walking poster child for celebrity fandom as it pertains to college football. However, the question that everyone has to be asking is this: Is Mr. Jones also a Cal fan? We may never know the answer, so just the lead man of the Counting Crows will have to suffice.
