29. Eric Church, Appalachian State Mountaineers

You don’t have to be a fan of country music to know who Eric Church is. The country music sensation is simply one of the biggest and most well-known recording artists on the planet right now and consistently sells out arenas and amphitheaters throughout the country. When he’s not up on stage singing and playing the guitar during college football season, however, Church is most certainly turning on some Sun Belt action.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers are certainly most famous for their 2007 upset of the Michigan Wolverines in perhaps the most thrilling fashion possible. However, they were a powerhouse at the FCS level for quite some time at that point and that game only proved that. The school also happens to be the alma mater of Church.

In truth, you could actually make the case for Church being higher on this list of celebrity fans. He’s done numerous things to show just how dedicated he is to the defending Sun Belt Champion Mountaineers. He’s put out hype videos, started new programs and apparel lines through the school and much more. He’s clearly still involved with the place where he received his college education.

And to be clear, this isn’t hollow allegiance from a multi-millioaire, either. Church actually still has a suite reserved for him and his family in Boone, NC where Appalachian State plays. On top of that, his son his actually named Boone, which takes his dedication to the next level. While the Mountaineers might be the smallest team appearing on this list, Church’s fandom is anything but small.
