High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Joel Embiid (at GS – $10,100): Needs 47.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52.25 fantasy points against LA Lakers. Point Jimmy Butler might hurt Embiid’s value a little bit. And I do worry about him going up against DeMarcus Cousins, who is not someone who will be punked out like so many other centers in the league. But Embiid is someone who will rise up to the challenge. I’m expecting him to make a statement in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs PHI – $6,700): Needs 31 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35 fantasy points against Indiana. And if you don’t want to quite spend on Embiid, you can get a bit more guaranteed value with Cousins. He’s going to go toe-to-toe with Embiid and remind the world why he’s the best center in the league and not Embiid. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Myles Turner (at ORL – $6,500): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22 fantasy points against Washington. I’m going to trust that Wednesday was just a rough night for Turner and the Pacers and expect him to be better in this game. He’s been a reliable option this season and he’s earned this game to rebound after a poor showing against the Wizards. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
