High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (vs BKN – $5,900): Needs 26.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.25 fantasy points against Phoenix. Gay hit the game-winner against the Suns and I still maintain that game-winners should count for more. But it was the Suns so maybe this one should count for less? Anyway, Gay continues to deliver with DeRozan out of the lineup and I expect nothing else in this matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Thaddeus Young (at ORL – $5,400): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.25 fantasy points against Washington. It was a return to form of sort for Young against the Wizards. The Pacers are still reeling without Oladipo and the Magic are a scrappy team who can give them issues. But Young gets the minutes and opportunities to make an impact and he’s settled into a nice salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Jonathan Isaac (vs IND – $4,400): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Isaac has been playing very well for the Magic in recent games and remains at a good salary. He’s been getting solid minutes and this is a good matchup for him with the Pacers being on a back-to-back. I like him as a nice salary saver to round out your lineup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
