LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 09: Denver Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic (15) looks on before a NBA preseason game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers on October 9, 2018 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. /

High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (vs HOU – $11,500): Needs 51.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 63.6 fantasy points against New Orleans. I love Jokic in this game. He’s been fantastic for most of the season and now he gets a Rockets team with a lot of frontcourt issues. Faried is going to look to prove himself but there’s a reason why Faried couldn’t crack the rotation for teams and is only playing due to injuries. And there’s a reason why Jokic is an MVP candidate. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Rudy Gobert (vs ATL – $9,200): Needs 41.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.8 fantasy points against Portland. Gobert has been struggling a bit in recent games but I love this matchup for him. He’ll have plenty of defensive and rebounding opportunities given the pace the Hawks play at. A blowout is possible so if you’re looking for a reliable option at a lesser salary, grab Steven Adams if he plays. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Al Horford (at NY – $7,900): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.9 fantasy points against Charlotte. Horford has been dominant for the Celtics, even in blowouts. And this one could certainly be a blowout. There is some concern with Kyrie coming back as less of the offense will run through Horford. But it’s the Knicks. You can stack Celtics with confidence in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
