FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 1, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Ricky Rubio (vs ATL – $6,300): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.9 fantasy points against Portland. It’s a rough night for point guards outside of the top guys. But Rubio gets the minutes and opportunities and he has a good matchup with the pace the Hawks play at. He should do enough in this game to at least get value but he’s one of the more inconsistent players in DFS. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Tyler Johnson (vs OKC – $5,300): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.6 fantasy points against Chicago. I don’t love TJ but he does get minutes and can do a bit of everything. The matchup is tough, but as mentioned, this could be a game where Miami comes out strong and surprises the Thunder. If Dennis Smith Jr ends up suiting up, grab him. But there’s no guarantee he’ll play. Diagnosis:
Kadeem Allen (vs BOS – $3,500): Needs 15.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.9 fantasy points against Dallas. I don’t know what the Knicks are doing. That’s an evergreen statement, honestly, But really, I don’t know what the Knicks are doing. But I do know that they are likely to be shorthanded in this game and that means Allen could see more minutes. Just grab the starting guards on the Knicks. They will be at very good salaries and have a big opportunity to deliver. Diagnosis: If he starts, take him.
