High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Marc Gasol (at NY – $8,300): Needs 37 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.7 fantasy points against Charlotte. Gasol gets to go up against the Knicks, which should help, but if DeAndre Jordan plays that does make life a little tougher on him. Once again, I have no feel for this game and it’s not like Gasol has been the most reliable option this season. His ceiling is high and I’m always a fan of taking guys against the Knicks. But there are better options to fill the center spot. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Al Horford (vs OKC – $8,000): Needs 35.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.8 fantasy points against New York. For example, Horford is a better option at a less salary. He’s been rolling as of late and his minutes should be up in this game given that it will be a competitive matchup. Horford had 37.8 fantasy points against the Thunder way back in October and typically plays well against them. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Steven Adams (at BOS – $7,100): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.4 fantasy points against Miami. And while Adams doesn’t have the ceiling of Horford, he’s just as reliable. He’s been playing well for most of the season and minutes are never an issue, especially in games that should be close. You typically know what you’re going to get from Adams and maybe he does a bit more if Westbrook doesn’t steal so many rebounds. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
