High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at TOR – $4,700): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.9 fantasy points against Detroit. SAG had a strong outing against the Pistons but the Raptors are a different beast. His minutes have been a bit all over the place and he’s definitely cooled off in the last couple of weeks. But maybe he makes an impact in this game. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Fred VanVleet (vs LAC – $4,500): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.9 fantasy points against Milwaukee. VanVleet got big minutes against the Bucks and still didn’t do a whole lot, which is worrisome. The minutes and opportunities are typically there for him and the matchup isn’t bad bust he just needs to prove a little more given his recent play. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Shelvin Mack (at NY – $4,000): Needs 17.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.7 fantasy points against Charlotte. If Conley is out of the lineup, you can take Mack with confidence. He’s going to get big minutes and it’s the Knicks. Even fi Conley plays, Mack is at a decent enough salary to where you might want to save some money and take him. A quick note on this game: If Dennis Smith Jr plays for the Knicks, take him with confidence. I think he’ll have a big first outing with New York. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling if Conley is out.
