High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Domantas Sabonis (at NO – $5,500): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.5 fantasy points against Miami. Sabonis still isn’t getting the minutes that you’d like to see but his salary has settled into a nice spot and I like this matchup given the Pelicans struggles in the frontcourt. This feels like a big Sabonis game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Brook Lopez (at BKN – $5,400): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39 fantasy points against Washington. Lopez continues to play very well and now he gets a matchup that he’s feasted on. He had 34 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 29 and is averaging 40.4 fantasy points against them in his last three games. I will always like Lopez’ game just due to the minutes and opportunities he gets on such a good team. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Mason Plumlee (at DET – $4,100): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.25 fantasy points against Minnesota. Plumlee has played well in the last two games and while his minutes are still a bit lower than you’d like, I like this matchup for him due to the Pistons frontcourt. As long as Plumlee gets 20 minutes, he should easily be able to get you at least value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
