High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (at DET – $11,300): Needs 50.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.2 fantasy points against Minnesota. Jokic might not be quite as reliable as someone like Harden or Giannis, but the ceiling is just as high. And I like this matchup for him because the Pistons are not good. The Nuggets offense should carve them up. And while Jokic will have to battle Drummond on the boards, Drummond has a habit of going invisible. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Deandre Ayton (vs HOU – $7,400): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.7 fantasy points against Atlanta. Ayton returned to the lineup and pretty much picked up where he left off. And now he gets a good matchup against a frontcourt weak team in Houston. I’m a little worried about some rust coming off the energy but he looked solid against Atlanta and the matchup is good in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Myles Turner (at NO – $7,100): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35 fantasy points against Miami. But my favorite center play on the night is Turner. He’s turned into a reliable option this season, always gets the minutes and is at a good salary compared to the rest of the field. And this is a good matchup because the Pelicans frontcourt are still banged up and Jahlil Okafor might be crashing back down to earth. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
