High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (at BKN – $6,400): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.7 fantasy points against Washington. You typically know what you’re getting from Lopez and now he enters into a good matchup against the Nets. It’s not even a revenge game at this point because it’s been over a year. The Nets just don’t have a real answer for him. And he never lacks for shots or chances in the Bucks system. Diagnosis: Very reliable with good ceiling.

Willie Cauley-Stein (vs SA – $6,100): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.3 fantasy points against Philadelphia. WCS has been over 32 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He had 36.1 fantasy points against the Spurs on Nov. 12 and is averaging 36.7 fantasy points in his last four games against the Spurs. So this is a matchup he seems to like. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Thomas Bryant (vs ATL – $4,700): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.8 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Bryant hasn’t been good lately and you’re probably better off taking one of the guys listed above him or on the previous slide. But he did have a monster 46.5 fantasy point effort against the Hawks on Jan. 2 and another strong 34.3 fantasy points effort on Dec. 5. We’ll ignore the 10.9 fantasy points game on Dec. 18. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.
