The Oakland Raiders hold three first round picks in the 2019 NFL draft, with their first selection coming at No. 4 overall, thanks to their 4-12 record this past season. During the 2018 NFL season, the Raiders really struggled to get after the quarterback, and that is the area they need to lock in on with their fourth overall selection.

Luckily for them, this is a draft class that is loaded with talent at the edge rusher position, and they could get a really special player at No. 4 overall. During his time at Clemson, Clelin Ferrell established himself as one of the elite edge rushers in college football and capped off his college career with the dominating performance in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

With the Raiders, Ferrell would slide right into the starting lineup, and play opposite of rookie Arden Key, who the Raiders selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. Prior to the 2018 NFL season, the Raiders traded away a generational talent in Khalil Mack, and it will take a village to replace his kind of production.

Ferrell looked like a special player during his time in college, but as we all know, the pro game is a lot faster and the offensive linemen are a lot bigger. Still, this would be a welcome addition to this Raiders defense, which will need to be a lot better in 2019 if they are going to start moving in the right direction.
