3. WR Donte Moncrief (Jacksonville Jaguars)

He was arguably and very quietly the Jacksonville Jaguars’ best wide receiver this past season, at least in terms of the big play. Yes, Dede Westbrook totaled 18 more receptions (66) than Donte Moncrief (48) and reached the end zone five times compared to three touchdowns by the one-time Indianapolis Colts’ wide receiver.

But Moncrief finished with 668 yards via those four-dozen grabs and averaged a team-high 13.9 yards per catch. In five NFL seasons, all within the AFC South, the one-time Ole Miss standout has totaled 200 grabs for 2,543 yards and 21 touchdowns in 69 regular-season contests.

A look at the Ravens’ wide receiver situation shows that the club could still use some help at the position, which would certainly be essential when it comes to young quarterback Lamar Jackson as he enters his second NFL season. Newcomer Willie Snead led Baltimore with 62 catches, good for just 651 yards and one score. Veteran Michael Crabtree, signed by the club last season, was next with 54 receptions, adding up to 607 yards and three touchdowns. But the team’s best 2018 free-agent pickup was big-play performer John Brown, who averaged a brisk 17.0 yards per catch on his 42 grabs and led the club with five TD receptions.

Will the team re-sign Brown, who is eligible for free agency come March 13? Ideally, the Ravens retain him. But Moncrief would be a solid addition regardless.
