High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Serge Ibaka (at PHI – $6,200): Needs 28.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.5 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Even in the blowout, Ibaka delivered. It’s a good sign for his value that he’s able to put up good numbers in limited minutes. His minutes should be up in this one as the game should be a competitive outing. He’s averaging 33.5 fantasy points in two games against the Sixers this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Steven Adams (vs ORL – $6,200): Needs 29 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.25 fantasy points against Boston. You typically know what you’re getting from Adams. He’s at a good salary given the minutes he plays and he’s a reliable option with his scoring and rebounding. He typically chips in with a couple of assists and a defensive play or two as well. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

JaVale McGee (at IND – $4,700): Needs 22mfantasy points. LAST GAME – 10.5 fantasy points against Golden State. I don’t know if Zubac is going to play in this game. He’s listed as probable, which typically means a guy is going to play, but it’s possible that he doesn’t play as the Lakers protect a potential asset in the Anthony Davis trade. I can’t figure out the Lakers. But if McGee plays and starts, take him. If Zubac plays and starts, take him. The matchup is a good one and the starter will have a good outing. Diagnosis: Taking the Lakers starting center. They are reliable if nothing else.
