FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 5, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Joel Embiid (vs TOR – $11,600): Needs 51.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 63.4 fantasy points against Sacramento. Embiid has been great all season and even though this is a tough matchup and Embiid hasn’t been great against the Raptors throughout the season, I’m going to trust him in this game given the roll he’s on right now. With the Sixers back in Philly after their west coast trip, I fully expect Embiid to feed off the energy and come up big. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Al Horford (at CLE – $8,000): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.9 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Horford continues to play great and now he gets the Cavaliers. He not only gets the Cavaliers but he gets the Cavaliers with Boston missing Kyrie. And with Kyrie out, more of the offense runs though Horford. The matchup is good and the circumstances are better. Horford will get it done. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Myles Turner (vs LAL – $7,300): Needs 32.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.3 fantasy points against New Orleans. Turner has been a very reliable option this season and I love this matchup for him, even though it’s a back-to-back for the Pacers. The Lakers, as mentioned previously, are just a mess right now with all these trade rumors and in-fighting. And it’s not like their frontcourt was good in the first place. LeBron playing changes things a bit, but not much. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
