Players costing $6,667 or under

Ante Zizic (vs BOS – $5,500): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.2 fantasy points against Dallas. It’s a rough night at center with the top guys being over the salary line and the value guys being fairly unreliable. Zizic’s minutes were down against Dallas and now I worry that Nance Jr will take those minutes. And even if he doesn’t, this salary is probably too high given his recent play. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a decent ceiling.

JaVale McGee (at IND – $4,800): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9.4 fantasy points against Golden State. Take whomever starts at center for the Lakers. As of this writing, I don’t know if it’s going to be McGee, Zubac or the mystery box after the Lakers trade everyone of the Pelicans. The mystery box could be a boat. And I feel like a boat would set good screens and get rebounds. If McGee starts, he’s a decent enough option. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Nerlens Noel (vs ORL – $4,000): Needs 17.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 13.4 fantasy points against Boston. Noel doesn’t get big minutes but he at least gets decent minutes and typically finds a way to make an impact. And I feel like his minutes might be up in this one given the matchup. He had 38.9 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 29 but that was with Steven Adams out of the lineup. He’s an option. Diagnosis: An option.
