Ranking the top 25 NFL free agents this offseason
By Ian Wharton
20. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Los Angeles Rams
A perfect mercenary for a playoff contender, Ndamukong Suh will likely be content to play the role once again for the biggest payday possible. The 32-year-old remains a force on the interior even as his numbers are pedestrian because of his ability to eat massive amounts of snaps and to draw attention. He’s one of the reasons why Aaron Donald racked up sacks like he did.
Suh can play in a 4-3 or 3-4 front and contribute in whatever role is asked of him. Though a better penetrator than block-eater, he can still take on double teams and allow his teammates to feast. Don’t be surprised when contenders come knocking at his door.
Projected deal: One year, $11 million
Best fits: Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts
