Ranking the top 25 NFL free agents this offseason
By Ian Wharton
18. Jared Cook, TE, Oakland Raiders
Jared Cook has turned back the clock in his last two seasons with the Oakland Raiders, totaling over 1,500 yards and eight touchdowns. The Green Bay Packers must feel bamboozled considering how poorly he produced in 2016 with a much better quarterback. Now Cook has the chance to turn his career-best season into one final payday.
Turning 32, Cook should be hunting the perfect spot to prolong his career. He still has great speed over the middle and has increased his catch percentage the last two years, making him more reliable. Watch for contenders to battle for his services.
Projected deal: Three years, $27 million
Best fits: Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots
