High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Marvin Bagley III (vs HOU – $5,800): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 55 fantasy points against San Antonio. Longtime readers know that I’ve been riding high on MB3 for a good portion of this season and now the league is taking notice. Sometimes I get it right. His salary is climbing but it’s not quite high enough given his usual minutes and production. And it’s not high enough given this matchup. I love opposing frontcourt players against the Rockets and Bagley has been a force recently. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs WAS – $5,500): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.75 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Lopez was down against the Nets but his minutes were down. And you typically don’t have to worry about Lopez because his minutes and opportunities are usually there. He had 39 fantasy points against the Wizards on Feb. 2. Maybe he doesn’t hit those numbers in this game but he’ll do enough to hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Mason Plumlee (at BKN – $4,400): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.25 fantasy points against Detroit. Plumlee drew the start with Millsap out of the lineup against the Pistons and delivered a big game. And I expect more of the same in this game if he draws the start once again. Even if he doesn’t start, his minutes should be good enough in this one to where he at least gets you value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
