NFL free agency 2019: Top 50 available players
By Conor Myles
35. Tre Boston, S
Boston is starting to bounce around the league, having just wrapped up playing for his third team in three years, but he’s proven to be a quality starter. The 26-year-old was the Carolina Panthers fourth-round pick in 2014 and has been a starting safety since 2016.
Boston finished this past season with the Arizona Cardinals coming over from the Los Angeles Chargers after a five-interception season that saw him only give up three receptions in 1,039 snaps. The 2018 season wasn’t as successful for the defensive back, but Boston still only allowed 18 receptions for 189 yards, while breaking up seven passes.
Despite making his way around the league, Boston has proven to be a solid starting safety. He should receive a ton of interest on the open market from teams with need at the position.
