NFL free agency 2019: Top 50 available players
By Conor Myles
32. Za’Darius Smith, OLB
Za’Darius Smith put together an excellent season during his contract year. He was active for all 16 games of the 2018 season for the Baltimore Ravens but was credited with eight starts. He finished with eight and a half sacks, 45 tackles, ten tackles for loss, and 25 quarterback hits.
Smith has been a solid role player for the Ravens racking up 18.5 sacks in 58 games. Baltimore seems to find that in many of their 3-4 outside linebacker edge rushers. They’ve been reluctant to pay guys like Smith in years past, so expecting him to hit the open market is more likely than not.
Teams with needs at 3-4 edge rusher could benefit massively from the 26-year-old as he has yet to hit his prime.
