27. LaMarcus Joyner, S

Joyner came into the 2018 season having the franchise tag placed on him after a breakout 2017 season. The Los Angeles Rams made it a priority to keep the up-and-coming safety after watching him grab three interceptions and defending nine passes while only missing four tackles in his 12 starts a season ago. The Florida State product also posted an incredible 27.4 quarterback rating when targeted, allowing only ten receptions with seven passes broken up that year.

The 28-year-old once again proved he’s one of the better tackling safeties again in 2018, when he only missed five tackles after playing a career-high 1,029 snaps. However, his coverage took a step back compared to 2017. The safety had a 111.5 rating when targeted allowing 17 receptions on 24 targets.

The Rams still have ample cap space to work with and could look to keep their Super Bowl secondary together, given that Joyner should command a lower price than the franchise tag number in 2017 thanks to a step back in performance.
