19. Teddy Bridgewater, QB

The forgotten starting-quality quarterback set to hit the free agent market in March is Teddy Bridgewater.

Bridgewater was the former starting quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings following the team selecting him with the 32nd-overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. What the 26-year-old quarterback is known for was the gruesome leg injury he suffered during training camp with the Vikings prior to the 2016 season. That injury—as well as the Vikings’ big offseason acquisition of quarterback Kirk Cousins—led to the New Orleans Saints sending a 2019 third-round pick to the Vikings in trade for Bridgewater prior to the start of the 2018 season.

Bridgewater doesn’t have incredible numbers with his 17-12 record as a starter and a stat line of 6,268 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions, but we still haven’t seen the best of what he has yet to offer. That potential alone could see teams like the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Denver Broncos get into a bidding war for his services. New Orleans has cap issues to address and hanging on to their backup at the rate he may get signed for elsewhere doesn’t appear possible.
