16. Trent Brown, OT

Brown comes in as the highest-ranked offensive lineman on this list. The 2015 draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers was part of a 2018 draft-day trade to the New England Patriots and has been a gem in his one season protecting Tom Brady’s blind side.

Brown won the team’s left tackle job in training camp, replacing the departed Nate Solder, and has proven to be a solid player along the Patriots offensive line. The 25-year-old left tackle has only allowed three sacks during the regular season, but none during New England’s postseason run, according to Pro Football Focus.

The main reason why the Patriots let Solder walk in free agency is that his market value rewarded him by making him the highest paid offensive lineman, which the team wasn’t willing to pay. These factors may not be the case for Brown just yet, but the need for offensive tackles could cause the Patriots to be forced to pay up to keep Brown.
