NFL free agency 2019: Top 50 available players
By Conor Myles
4. Frank Clark, DE
Clark has earned being named among the best defensive ends in the NFL given the statistics he has racked up over the last three seasons. The Seattle Seahawks ultimately lucked out having Clark fall into their lap in Round 2 of the 2015 NFL Draft after off-the-field concerns dropped the pass rusher to the 63rd overall pick.
The University of Michigan product has exceeded expectations, racking up 40 sacks, 142 quarterback hurries and six forced fumbles in 2,681 total snaps (including playoffs), according to Pro Football Focus. Clark has also proven to be a reliable player, only missing two games total during his four-year career.
It’s highly doubtful that the Seahawks let Clark walk into free agency. Seattle can afford to slap the franchise tag on Clark and allow themselves time to work out a long-term deal prior to training camp.
