High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dewayne Dedmon (vs TOR – $5,500): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.8 fantasy points against Washington. I don’t know if Dedmon will be in the lineup for the Hawks as his name has been rumored. If he doesn’t play, take an extra look at Alex Len if you’re looking to save money at this position. But if Dedmon plays, he’s a decent enough option given his usual minutes. He’ll get numbers in this game and has shown a high ceiling. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

JaVale McGee (at BOS – $4,600): Needs 20.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.8 fantasy points against Indiana. McGee actually played well in that Pacers game even though he’s not worth trading according to Pacers fans. Again, I don’t know anything about what the Lakers will look like or the mood around the team. But McGee finds a way to make plays and he’s done well as long as LeBron has been in the lineup. And he might be the only center on the roster by the time the game starts. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Nerlens Noel (vs MEM – $3,600): Needs 15.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 7.8 fantasy points against Orlando. Again, look towards Alex Len if Dedmon ends up getting traded. Noel doesn’t get big minutes but maybe the Thunder make a trade that will allow him to get some extra minutes. And he typically makes an impact in the minutes he does play. And maybe he gets more minutes in what could be a blowout. Diagnosis: If you think this is a blowout you can take him with confidence.
