Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr.

Perhaps the most competitive fight that can be made in boxing, and the best welterweight fight (on paper) since Felix Trinidad vs Oscar De La Hoya. The two best welterweights in the world, and two of the top ten fighters in the world pound for pound, this is simply a fight that needs to happen.

Crawford posses elite skills, and is capable of outboxing anyone, but does not shy away from getting into a brawl. He has a history of getting sucked into exchanges that aren’t necessary, but that is just who he is. He has a mean streak in him and loves to lay it on his opponents, especially when they get under his skin.

Spence, on the other hand, is not as slick of a boxer as Crawford, but still possess elite skills. He is a natural welterweight and looks as though he will be fighting at super-welterweight soon. He is also the heavier hitter, and relentlessly attacks the body of his opponents.

This is the true definition of a 50/50 fight, and no outcome would come as a surprise. Terrence Crawford is very capable of outboxing Spence, but is also likely to get sucked into a brawl at one point, which would let Spence shine.

This fight is unfortunately not going to happen any time soon because of boxing politics, so all we can do is hope that both fighters progress and there is enough fan interest to force both sides to work together.
