1. Nick Foles (Philadelphia Eagles)

Let’s make sure we get the circumstances correct make sure the circumstances are correct. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles – the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl LII – is about to hit the free-agent market.

Maybe. Because the Birds may still have a say in the matter.

The seven-year signal-caller recently bought out his option (via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport) and will hit the unrestricted free agent market on March 13. Of course, the Eagles can also place the franchise tag on the savvy signal-caller, meaning the team would still retain his right. Hence Philadelphia could orchestrate a trade with a team and get some compensation for the proven champion rather than letting him walk away and getting nothing in return.

Of course, Foles has been at the helm for Doug Pederson’s team the last two years in the playoffs. But this postseason, in the split with the Bears and Saints, he threw three touchdown passes opposed to four interceptions. So the doubters remain. But it’s still hard to believe he won’t be starting for a team other than the Eagles in 2019.
