DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Feb. 9, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs ORL – $11,400): Needs 51.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 60.25 fantasy points against Dallas. You know what you’re getting from Giannis. He’s been a very reliable option all season and he puts up numbers in all categories. The matchup doesn’t matter. I’m not even sure the minutes matter. Giannis could play 15 minutes and still end up with over 50 fantasy points. That’s how good he is. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Paul George (at HOU – $10,000): Needs 45.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.25 fantasy points against Memphis. George was a little down in his last game but it was a blowout where he didn’t play his usual minutes. That won’t be a problem in this game. The minutes will be there and George has been fantastic all season. And he probably wants to make a statement against his fellow MVP candidate. George will deliver as he always does. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Aaron Gordon (at MIL – $6,700): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.5 fantasy points against Minnesota. It’s a rather weak night at small forward so Gordon makes the list. If Kawhi plays, he’s more reliable. Gordon has been good in his last two games but this is a tough matchup for him and he’s too inconsistent for my liking. He’s averaging 19.4 fantasy points in his last three games against Milwaukee. There’s just not a lot to like about Gordon. Diagnosis: A risk based on his usual play and the matchup. Decent reward.
