DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Feb. 9, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Julius Randle (at MEM – $8,100): Needs 37.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Minnesota. Randle’s minutes were down against the Timberwolves with Anthony Davis back, but I don’t think AD will be playing in this game as it’s a back-to-back. But check the lineup before making any decisions. No Davis will mean more Randle and he’s delivered when he’s gotten the minutes this season. The matchup is good with the weak and inexperienced Memphis frontcourt. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Lauri Markkanen (vs WAS – $7,500): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 59.5 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Markkanen continues to shoot hot and until I see him tail off, I will continue to take him. He’ll see some familiar faces in the Wizards frontcourt but he’s better than Portis and definitely better than Parker so he should be able to give them some business, at least on the offensive end. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jaren Jackson Jr (vs NO – $6,600): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.75 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. This is Triple J’s team now and he will continue to put up big numbers for the Grizzlies as they rightfully give him all the playing time. The matchup is good with the Pelicans being on a back-to-back and likely resting Anthony Davis because of it. Triple J is in for some huge games moving forward this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
