High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dennis Smith Jr (vs TOR – $6,500): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.4 fantasy points against Detroit. This will probably be the last time you’ll be able to get DSJ under the salary line because he’s the man in New York and will continue to act as such for the rest of the season. It’s a tough matchup but you shouldn’t worry about DSJ on this squad. Someone has to get those numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Patrick Beverley (at BOS – $5,100): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.5 fantasy points against Indiana. This just feels like a Patrick Beverley game. He’s been playing well as of late and while I don’t know what the Clippers are actually doing for the rest of this season, I know Beverley is going to compete and he’ll definitely compete against the Celtics. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Fred VanVleet (at NY – $4,600): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44 fantasy points against Atlanta. If VanVleet is in the starting lineup, you can take him with confidence. If he’s not in the starting lineup, he hasn’t had the same production off the bench that we saw from him last season. The good news is that they are up against the Knicks. And everyone delivers against the Knicks. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling if he starts.
