Shooting Guards

Players costing over $6,667

Klay Thompson (vs MIA – $7,300): Needs 31.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.2 fantasy points against Phoenix. Thompson is shooting the ball very well right now and the shots will always be there for him in the Warriors system. The matchup doesn’t really matter at this point for the Warriors because their offense is going to function the same against just about everyone right now. He’s a slight risk because if shots don’t fall, he doesn’t always make up that value. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Evan Fournier (at ATL – $6,100): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.5 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Fournier is an inconsistent option but the matchup is good for him and he’s played well against the Hawks over the last two season. Once again, I love this game from a DFS perspective and Fournier can do a bit of everything and I expect a strong performance out of him in this game given the matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Terrence Ross (at ATL – $5,700): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.3 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Ross cooled off slightly against the Bucks but don’t be too worried. He’ll continue to get those shots against the Hawks and the defense is not quite the same, so I expect his scoring to tick back up. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Kevin Huerter (vs ORL – $5,500): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.3 fantasy points against Charlotte. Minutes and opportunities aren’t an issue for Huerter right now and he’s shown a high ceiling if he can get hot. The matchup is a good one and he’s at a good salary compared to the rest of the field. I have a sneaky good feeling about Huerter in this one. I think he’ll have a strong game against the Magic. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
