NFL Mock Draft: Where will Kyler Murray land?
21. Seattle Seahawks – T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
The Seahawks have Nick Vannett at tight end, but that’s a position that can be upgraded. T.J. Hockenson won the Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end. He’s a complete package who can block and make big catches down the field. Russell Wilson would love this new security blanket.
22. Baltimore Ravens – D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
The Ravens need to give Lamar Jackson some more help and give him the tools to help him develop as a passer. D.K. Metcalf gives Jackson the type of weapon he can rely on in the intermediate-deep passing game with his rare athletic ability.
23. Houston Texans – Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss
The offensive line has been an ongoing issue for the Texans and protecting Deshaun Watson and keeping him healthy is their primary focus. Greg Little came to Ole Miss as one of the top recruits in the country where he was a high school teammate of Kyler Murray’s at Allen High School. He didn’t quite have the college career many expected, but the tools are there for him to develop into a starting left tackle.
24. Raiders (via Chicago Bears) – Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
Playing in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and Philip Rivers, the Raiders need to add talent in the secondary. Trayvon Mullen got better every week at Clemson and had a strong showing in the National Championship vs. Alabama’s prolific passing offense.
25. Philadelphia Eagles – Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
Haloti Ngata is a free agent and Timmy Jernigan may not be a long-term option in Philadelphia. Dexter Lawrence didn’t stuff the box score but as a 340-pound one-gap defender, he can occupy the middle of the line and hold the point of attack in the run game.
