4. Anthony Barr, OLB (Minnesota Vikings)

When it comes to the Oakland Raiders roster, there is very little talent at the linebacker position, as the team needs at least  two more bodies to start in Paul Guenther’s 4-3 scheme next season. Tahir Whitehead was brought in during the 2018 NFL offseason to bolster the outside linebacker spot, but he needs help in 2019.

One of the better outside linebacker free agents this offseason will be Anthony Barr, a Pro Bowl player from the Minnesota Vikings. In Barr, the Raiders could shore up the other side of the field on defense, giving the Raiders two very good tacklers, and fierce competitors next season at the outside linebacker spots.

Last season, the Raiders saw two very pieces of their secondary step up, as former first rounder Karl Joseph and Gareon Conley finally looked like NFL players. Up front, the Raiders spent a ton of draft capital on  the defensive line, bringing in guys like PJ Hall, Maurice Hurst, and Arden Key, all of which should be improved next season.

Barr makes a lot of sense because this is such a glaring need, but he is going to command a pretty hefty paycheck this offseason. Oakland has the money to spend, and if they can revamp the defense over the next couple of months, they have some pieces already in place to finally turn this thing around.
