1. C.J. Mosley, ILB (Baltimore Ravens
The Raiders most pressing need on the defensive side of the ball is at the edge rusher position, where they lost a generational talent in Khalil Mack via a trade last offseason. While there are some great pass rushers in this free agency class, Oakland was not willing to pay Mack big money, and guys like DeMarcus Lawrence and Ezekiel Ansah are going to want huge paydays this offseason.
The second-biggest area of concern on the Raiders defense is at middle linebacker, where they had to roll with undrafted rookie Jason Cabinda at the spot down the stretch. They have to bring in talent at the position this offseason, and C.J. Mosley would be an absolute God Send if the Raiders could some how get him to put on the Silver and Black.
Only 27-years old, Mosley is a perennial Pro Bowl middle linebacker, and would be a perfect fit in the middle of Paul Guenther’s 4-3 defense. One one of the smartest linebackers in football, Mosley is a born leader, and would be a guy that this entire defense could look up to in 2019 and beyond.

Oakland needs help on all three levels of their defense, but having a true captain, and leader of the unit has to be one of the bigger priorities of this team heading into the 2019 season. Mosley has a good thing going in Baltimore, but the Raiders have the cash to go out and get him, and he would become an immediate fan favorite within Raider Nation.
