DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 12, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,250
Joel Embiid (vs BOS – $10,200): Needs 47.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 62 fantasy points against LA Lakers. This is typically a tough matchup for Embiid but the Celtics are going through some things and will be without notorious Embiid stopper Aron Baynes. Plus, Embiid had 60.5 fantasy points against them on Dec. 25. Embiid has been a beast this season and I will trust him to keep it up in this game despite the historically tough matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Nikola Vucevic (at NO – $9,500): Needs 44.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42 fantasy points against Atlanta. Vucevic has been rolling and now he gets a great matchup against a weak Pelicans squad who are going through things. Anthony Davis playing will make things a bit more difficult on Vucevic but I’m not enamored with the lower salary high salary centers. So I’m going to trust Vucevic to at least get value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Rudy Gobert (at GS – $8,200): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.25 fantasy points against San Antonio. Gobert has been playing very well as of late and even though the matchup is tougher with DeMarcus Cousins on the Warriors, Gobert typically brings it against Golden State. He’s averaging 43 fantasy points in two games against the Warriors this season, although again, Cousins hasn’t played in either of those games. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
