High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs BOS – $11,700): Needs 52.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58.3 fantasy points against LA Lakers. This is usually a tough matchup for Embiid but with Aron Baynes out of the lineup, Embiid should have an easier time. Baynes is the real Embiid stopper, although Al Horford does hold his own. And this is a different Embiid, especially with Harris in the lineup. You can always build around Embiid will confidence. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Nikola Vucevic (at NO – $9,900): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.9 fantasy points against Atlanta. Vucevic has been playing fairly well but it’s been a few games since we’ve seen him really dominate. Maybe with the Pelicans frontcourt rotation being all over the place, he’ll find his way in this game. I like his ceiling and I’m going to trust him in this matchup since the Pelicans defense does struggle overall. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Rudy Gobert (at GS – $9,000): Needs 40.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.6 fantasy points against San Antonio. Gobert has been playing well as of late and he typically plays well against the Warriors. Although this is a different Warriors team with Cousins in the lineup. And that’s what concerns me. But Gobert will get the minutes and he does have the ability to battle Cousins, who may show signs that he’s not quite all the way back against Miami. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
