High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

JaVale McGee (at ATL – $6,300): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.1 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Zubac is gone and now McGee is free to be the best center in the league again. The minutes will continue to be there for him and the rebounds should be up given how much the Hawks like to shoot the ball. He’ll also chip in with defense. He’s a great value option on Tuesday. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jahlil Okafor (vs ORL – $5,000): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19 fantasy points against Chicago. Okafor’s role has been reduced with Davis back in the lineup but he’s still getting solid minutes and his salary has dropped to a much more reasonable level. Based on the minutes he gets, he’s at least an option as a value player. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Joakim Noah (vs SA – $3,700): Needs 16.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.3 fantasy points against New Orleans. Gunning for McGee’s best center in the league title is the rebirth of Joakim Noah. He’s getting decent enough minutes for the Grizzlies and the minutes will probably be there for him against the Spurs, who are always a tough matchup. It feels weird trusting Noah but he’s earned it with his play in the last couple of weeks. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
