2019 college baseball preseason All-American team
Pitchers
Tyler Dyson, SP, Florida
Dyson is the top-ranked right-handed pitcher coming into his season as a Florida Gator and will look to keep the tradition of solid Florida pitchers. He struggled with injuries last year, but has had a whole summer to recover, and will look to reclaim the lead of his pitching staff.
Nick Logolo, SP, Texas Christian
Lodolo is highly touted not only for his ability but his build that will suit him well in his career as a pitcher. He throws hard, clocking in at a low-90 fastball, and will be one for scouts to watch after being drafted early in the 2016 draft just a few years prior.
Graeme Stinson, SP, Duke
Whereas Dyson is the top right-handed pitcher entering this season, Stinson is the best pitcher overall. He has probably the best pure arm ability of anyone in the class, and pairs excellent junk with his solid fastball. With a 1.89 ERA last season, he’ll be one of the top pitchers this season for the Blue Devils.
Zack Thompson, SP, Kentucky
Thompson has had a history of injury in his first two seasons with Kentucky but is one of the most promising pitchers coming out of a successful season with the Collegiate National Team. He’s got a multi-tool of skills and is a promising prospect for the Wildcats.
Matt Cronin, RP, Arkansas
Arkansas has greatly valued the contributions of Cronin, who came in as a Freshman and has already made a great impact. With one of the most entertaining deliveries of the bunch (high-effort and big head throw), he uses a great skill set to land a spot as one of the best collegiate pitchers.
Matt Wallner, UTLP, Southern Miss
The top reliever coming into this season, Wallner started off as a starting rotation member but will see his skillset swapped over to the reliever spot for Southern Mississippi. Wallner also plays outfield, and that may be his best bet at the next level, but is a fun player to watch with a lot of raw ability.
