WWE Monday Night Raw: The 10 for February 11, 2019
4. Poor Bayley
For the second week in a row, Bayley had to handle the business for herself and her tag team partner Sasha Banks. A pre-match beatdown last week left Banks incapable of helping Bayley secure the team a spot in the women’s Elimination Chamber match (which will determine who will be inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions) and an outside-the-ring attack during this week’s triple threat tag match left Banks again unable to compete.
Bayley and Banks took on the teams of Nia Jax and Tamina and Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan of the Riott Squad, with the losers having the unenviable position of being first out of their pods and into the Chamber on Sunday. While Bayley managed to overcome the odds last Monday to get herself and Banks in the Chamber match, this week it was not enough. Jax hit her with a Samoan Drop and suddenly the favorites to win the women’s tag gold are now the underdogs.
It should be noted that, according to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer (via Ringside News), Banks is (yet again) working through an injury. While not cleared to compete — or at least wasn’t last week — she has been allowed to be ringside with Bayley while advancing the current storyline. The expectation is that Banks will be ready to go on Sunday.
