8. Seth Rollins returns

Seth Rollins is back after a week away from the Raw ring, having needed time to recover from taking six F5s from Brock Lesnar. Those F5s were his punishment for choosing to challenge Lesnar for his WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania, a choice he made as winner of the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Rollins admits he remains in pain, thanks to not only the two-week-old beatdown but the general wear-and-tear of his last year. The good news? “I took six F5s and I’m still here,” says Rollins. He’s ready for Lesnar, even “if WrestleMania is the last match of my career.” Before the crowd can fully absorb what that statement might mean, Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman interrupts.

Heyman is here to “educate” Rollins, to teach him that no, he and Lesnar are not created equal and that they do not share the same DNA (this is correct; Rollins and Lesnar do not have the same DNA). In the line of the night, Heyman declares that Lesnar is a “beast, preditor, career-killer, merciless sadist with an unrepentant soul,” and of course, gives his spoiler alert that Lesnar will again reign supreme over Rollins.

Rollins, though, is ready to give everything — including his soul, to the devil — to rid the company of Lesnar. Martyrdom for the sake of professional wrestling is the fate Rollins is willing to face. There will be more F5s in his future.
