5. player. 48. . Offensive Tackle. Alabama. Jonah Williams

The No. 5 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft currently belongs to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will be welcoming in a new head coach this season. Bruce Arians has decided to come out of retirement, after only one-year staying away from the sidelines, and will be tasked with turning around the career of quarterback Jameis Winston.

Winston was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, and he has not quite lived up to those expectations on or off the field so far during his short NFL career. During his time as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, Arians proved that he could work wonders with the quarterbacks, so Winston has to be excited about playing for him moving forward.

With that No. 5 overall selection, the Buccaneers would be wise to bring in a player who can protect Winston upfront on the offensive line moving forward. The best offensive tackle in this year’s draft class is Jonah Williams from Alabama, and with Tampa Bay, he could be the guy who protects Winston’s blindside for the next ten seasons.

This Tampa Bay team has a long way to go until they are competitive in the NFC South, but Arians has proven that he can work wonders before. The NFC South is one of the better divisions in football, and while the Buccaneers have a lot of work to do this off-season, bringing in a talent like Williams to anchor their offensive line for 2019 and beyond makes a lot of sense.
