One of the bigger disappointments of the 2018 NFL season was the play of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who followed up a trip to the AFC Championship Game by missing out on the playoffs. In fact, the Jaguars were one of the worst teams in the AFC, and because of that, will hold the No. 7 overall pick this April.

It is not all bad, however, for the Jaguars, as one of the more electric dual-threat quarterbacks we have seen in a long time made a full commitment to the NFL on Monday. Oklahoma’s Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Kyler Murray has decided to put all his eggs in his NFL basket, and could be a nice pick for the Jaguars here at seven.

During his only season as the starter for the Sooners, Murray set the college football landscape on fire, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdown passes. He would slide right in as a starter for the Jaguars, who are definitely moving on from Blake Bortles after benching him late in the 2018 NFL season.

There are a lot of questions surrounding Murray heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, but most likely can a person his height compete at the NFL level. He must know that he is going to be a first round pick this April, as he turned down nearly $5 million from the Oakland Athletics, who selected him with the ninth overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft this past year.
