Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (vs HOU – $5,700): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.2 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Rose returned to the lineup and looked just fine against the Clippers. He’s listed as probable so I’m going to assume that he’ll play in this contest. It’s a tough matchup but the Rockets defense isn’t great and Rose has been fantastic this season when the minutes have been there. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Landry Shamet (vs PHO – $4,600): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.6 fantasy points against Minnesota. I’m still all in on Shamet. The Clippers are giving him big minutes and utilizing him in many ways. And now he gets to go up against the Suns. I’m expecting a strong night out of Shamet based on recent production and the matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Ryan Arcidiacono (vs MEM – $3,500): Needs 15.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 5.9 fantasy points against Milwaukee. This is all about the circumstances. I don’t know if Arcidiacono will be the starter for the Bulls if Dunn is unable to play but if he’s the starter, you can take him with confidence. If someone else is the starter, you can take them with confidence. The salary is going to be good either way. Diagnosis: Take the Bulls starter, whoever it might be.
