John Elway orchestrated a trade to bring Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, and as you would expect, the trade isn’t receiving rave reviews on Twitter.

Well, John Elway was kind of asking for this right?

The former Super Bowl champion and MVP, and currently the general manager and president of football operations for the Denver Broncos, is getting torn into on social media for his deal to bring 34-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco to Denver. As expected, it’s not a popular move among the fans.

Here is just a handful of Twitter reactions to the trade that went down on Wednesday morning:

It’s a complete and total Elway move. He prefers to acquire aging quarterbacks that are past their prime rather than drafting and developing young talent. We saw him do it with Peyton Manning several years ago, which actually did pay off because he led Denver to a Super Bowl championship at age 39.

dark. Next. 5 teams that should acquire Case Keenum

But Flacco, the longtime starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, is no Peyton Manning. He is a former Super Bowl MVP, however, so maybe Elway has a plan to get Flacco’s seemingly washed up career back on track.

But if you’re a Broncos fan, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up.
