High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,250

John Collins (vs NY – $7,700): Needs 35.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.5 fantasy points against LA Lakers. I still wish Collins’ salary would drop because he hasn’t hit this number but once in five games, which was the last game against the Lakers. The good news is now he gets the Knicks on a back-to-back. He had 44 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 21 if you’re looking for some confidence. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Julius Randle (vs OKC – $7,200): Needs 33.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Orlando. Again, I don’t know what’s happening with the Pelicans. But Randle is playing well right now and he always kills the Thunder. He’s been over 40 fantasy points in both games against them this season. I don’t like the Pelicans but I like Randle. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Kevin Knox (at ATL – $4,900): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 10.75 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Knox should have scored higher based on nothing but his dunk on Ben Simmons. But here we are. He’s been inconsistent but I do like this matchup for him and I have a good feeling about him on Thursday. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.

Marvin Williams (at ORL – $4,600): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.75 fantasy points against Indiana. Williams continues to play well for the Hornets, even when he’s not shooting hot. That’s a good sign for his value. And the opportunities will continue to be there for him. As I’ve been saying throughout the slides, I love this game as it should be a close one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
