High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Vucevic (vs CHA – $10,000): Needs 46.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 56.75 fantasy points against New Orleans. Vucevic has been a reliable option throughout the season and now he’s putting up big numbers in limit minutes. He hasn’t played well against the Hornets this season but I trust him to play well on Thursday given his recent run. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Anthony Davis (vs OKC – $9,000): Needs 41.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.5 fantasy points against Orlando. The good news is that Davis’ salary has dropped. The bad news is that I don’t know if he cares. And with the way the Thunder are playing, he can’t afford to not care. I’ll never say “don’t take Anthony Davis” because he’s Anthony Friggin Davis. But there are a lot of red flags. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Cody Zeller (at ORL – $4,800): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.75 fantasy points against Indiana. Zeller continues to play big minutes and deliver for the Hornets. They are weak in the frontcourt but Zeller has played a reliable game all season and he’s at a very good salary based on his minutes and usual production. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Mitchell Robinson (at ATL – $4,100): Needs 19.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. If you’ve been keeping up over the last couple of weeks, you’ll know how much I love Robinson. And he continues to deliver for the Knicks. Until I see signs of him slipping, I’ll keep riding with him. He remains at a great salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
