FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 14, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Jrue Holiday (vs OKC – $9,000): Needs 38.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.6 fantasy points against Orlando. And it’s later. I don’t know what to make of the Pelicans. Holiday’s salary has dropped which is nice but I just don’t know if this team is going to show up to play. And the Thunder is playing their best basketball of the season. One team is completely together. The other team is in shambles. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Jeremy Lamb (at ORL – $6,600): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.4 fantasy points against Indiana. A guy who is more reliable than Holiday based on the information out there and the salary, Lamb is a better option than Holiday. I know he and the Hornets are going to show up to play and he could offer similar production on a cheaper salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Evan Fournier (vs CHA – $6,300): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.2 fantasy points against New Orleans. Fournier has been good for the Magic in recent contests and as I’ve been mentioning, I love this game because it should be a competitive affair compared to the other two games. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Terrance Ferguson (at NO – $4,000): Needs 17.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11 fantasy points against Portland. If Schroder ends up playing, I like him more than Ferguson because his opportunities are more guaranteed. But Ferguson gets a lot of minutes so he can find his way into some points. I’m not really enamored with any of the value SG options. Terrence Ross is certainly an option and you should trust that he’ll find his rhythm. And Bazemore will get more minutes if Heurter can’t go. But I’ll show Ferguson some love. Diagnosis: An option.
