Why isn’t Crazy Ex-Girlfriend new tonight, Feb. 15?

Right when it looked like Rebecca was about to be up to her neck in suitors, the show decided to take an unexpected break.

This post contains spoilers for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend through season 4 episode 13.

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a month to see the fallout of Rebecca’s (latest) breakup with Greg.

Rachel Bloom herself broke the news on Twitter shortly following Nathaniel and Josh learning they still have a shot with Rebecca.

This is an odd time for a show five episodes away from its series finale to be going on an extended hiatus. Of course, that decision is up to The CW scheduling gods, not us commoners who just want to know how Rebecca is going to handle all this male attention.

Fear not though! According to the promo for the next episode, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will be back on March 15. And it looks like Rebecca is more concerned with her rekindled love of theater than any of the men in her life.

Does this mean we’re actually going to get musical numbers that are happening in real life, as opposed to just in Rebecca’s head? A musical theater setting is certainly a solid excuse to bring Rebecca’s fantasies into reality.

Most importantly, will this season produce a song more masterful than “Sports Analogies“? Honestly, probably not.

It would’ve been nice if we could’ve found that out on Friday instead of breaking up the momentum this show has had heading into its home stretch. Oh well. See you soon, West Covina!
